Running Workouts Interval Training This six week summer running program is designed to help increase your speed and stamina. When you are ready to take your running performance to the next level, this program is for you. Begin to raise your VO2max and lactate threshold as well as your mental toughness. Learn the skills and drills of what it takes to perform at your best. You will run stronger and faster and with more confidence. After your thorough warm-up, with drill-type strengthening included, your workout begins. Intervals are coached and timed within your ability group. Tuesdays will be track intervals of 400 to 1600 meters. Thursdays meet at a different location and will incorporate longer intervals at slightly slower paces with less recovery between. Speed workouts are difficult to do on your own with a quality effort. Join this structured, coached workout program with others your ability and get the most out of your training. All abilities welcome. It is recommended to have a consistent weekly mileage base prior to joining this program. Summer 2008 Pre-registration through June 8: $150. PayPal: $155. Distance Track This distance running class builds and gradually progresses over 18 weeks. Pre-workouts include a dynamic warm-up, active stretches and neuromuscular training drills. The workout includes a variety of distance intervals and group runs. Train for Fall road races or cross country races.
