Suzanne’s Training Center

Elite Training Systems is a 5,000 square foot facility equipped with men’s and women’s locker rooms with showers, three treatment rooms for sports massage, a group weight training room, group cycling room with movie screen and a multi-purpose/yoga room. The core of the facility is the physiology lab for human performance. Elite Training Systems is an endurance training center catering to sport specific enthusiasts as well as weight loss clients. Cyclists and triathletes train on the CompuTrainer MultiRider system in groups or privately. Rowers train on the Concept2 ergometers. Runners train with specific pace work on the treadmill. Endurance athletes, hikers, and high altitude mountain climbers train with altitude simulation.

Physiology Lab: Know Your Training Needs

The ability of an athlete to reach a peak performance during an athletic event requires
precise training of specific energy systems for a particular race distance and type of course. This takes fine tuning so the athlete can generate the highest amount of energy per unit of time during a race. Proper training accomplishes this. Maximum oxygen consumption (VO2max) and threshold testing for the endurance athlete lets the coach and the athlete know if this balance is being obtained. Each energy system (dependant upon the event) must be trained properly in order to reach full personal potential.

V02max testing at Elite Training Systems is administered on our medical grade metabolic cart. The tests are performed on either a treadmill, a Concept2 rowing ergometer, your own bike mounted on our lab calibrated Computrainer or a stationary lab cycle ergometer, depending on your sport..

Complete Body Composition Analysis is performed in the lab using inBody 320 technology. Results are printed and graphed. Tests include %body fat, lean body mass, basal metabolic rate, body max index, hip-waist ratio, along with skinfold measurements and circumference measurements, height and weight. Based on your body type and test results, we determine your ideal weight and the pounds of muscle and/or body fat to gain or lose. From here your training plan is developed.

Test results will provide you with individual paces and strategies for proper fuel utilization during endurance training and racing.

..Suzanne has the experience, skill and expertise to benefit men and women of all ages who are beginning exercisers, seasoned athletes and post-therapy patients.
